CHIEF Resident Life has taken me lots of places. My love for the great outdoors started in Sweden and Denmark as a kid. Utah, California and Hawaii have also shaped me into who I am today. Having been "on the go" with my wife for so long, we knew it was time to find a place that we would feel comfortable calling home and providing a well balanced standard of living for Anders and Savanna. The kids are thriving, we know we made a good decision that will benefit our family for a lifetime! |

I am from Mississippi originally, and interviewed many places for residency. At the end of that process I felt that Emergency Medicine at UMC would better train me to be an EM physician than any other program I visited. I enjoy hunting, fishing, running, and basically any outdoor activity. Mississippi is truly a best kept secret, and I would encourage anyone to visit here and experience the area for themselves. |

Another native Mississippian. My favorite hobby is traveling the world whenever I get the opportunity. My other hobbies outside of medicine include biking, kayaking, lifting weights, and shooting sports. The greater Jackson area is really a nice place once you know your way around........nice enough that my wife and I are considering sticking around the area even after I graduate this year! |

Mississippi is the 15th state I have lived in. Talk to me later for a complete listing - no room here. My dad was in the Air Force, so we moved a few times growing up! My wife is more stable - born and raised in Maryland. I went to med school at St. George's University in Grenada... after completing my undergrad in Hawaii. We came to Mississipi without knowing much about it really... and have fallen in love. The weather is warm and the natives are friendly. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my wife and 5 yr old son, gardening, fishing and training for triathlons. |
